Happy Hello!

Hello friends!  I have a sweet, fun card for you today!

I used a super cute new image from Tiddly Inks called Fairy Sunny Day.  I love all the images Christy makes.  They make me smile and they are so much fun to color!
Isn't she so sweet?  I colored her with my Prismacolor pencils and added a tiny bit of purple stickles to her fairy wand.  I die cut the image with a circle die and inked the edges.
I followed the sketch at Mojo Monday.  It seemed to work perfect for this image.  The paper is from my stash as are the flower beads on the twine.  The trim I used I picked up at Hobby Lobby a while back.  I think it's meant for apparel as it it actually stretchy.  I love the sequins on it and snatched it up for my cards.  The flowers are all from Wild Orchid and the pearls and rhinestones are all from AC Moore.
I used the same sketch for the writing panel and left the other side "blank" to show off the fun paper.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Tiddly Inks - Summer Treats
Mojo Monday - Sketch
Top Tip Tuesday - Spooled Items
Creative Inspirations - Anything Goes
Digi Sketch - Anything Goes

City Crafter Challenge Blog - Summertime

I am also entering this card in the Design Team challenge at Tiddly Inks!

I think that's about it.  Thanks for taking a peek!

Shopping Our Stash #112

Hello friends!  Seems like I only post once a week lately.  I'd like to change that in the near future.  Maybe I should show you all the things I am sewing....maybe!  Anyway, it's time for a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash.  This week we want you to use your oldest punch or die.  We'd love to see what you have in your stash!

I knew exactly which punch I would use.  I have one from years ago.  I don't use it very often but I broke it out for this challenge.
I used a very sweet image from Wee Stamps.  I have admired her images for a long time but never treated myself to one.  So I went all out this week and bought 13 of them!!!  They are so cute!  I printed them all off and picked papers to go with all of them!  Maybe this will get my creative fairy busy again....new inspiration!  This cutie is called Peggy and is just the sweetest thing!  I colored her with my Prismacolor pencils.
I followed the sketch at CLP.  I always love the sketches over there and the design team cards.  Always beautiful!  The papers are MME called Laundry Line.  The border punch at the bottom is my oldest.  I also used a doily die and a leaf die.  Had fun with my Big Shot this week!  The lace, pearls, gemstone, ribbon and flower are all from my stash.
The inside is fairly simple, showing off the great papers from this collection.
So that's it.  It's time for you to dig out your oldest punch and join us this week!  We would love to see what you have!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

I think that's about it.  Thanks for taking a peek!

Shopping Our Stash #111

Oh do we have a fun new challenge for you over at Shopping Our Stash this week!  It's one we can all relate to, I'm sure!  We are calling this fun challenge "I don't need another....(or maybe I do)".  Doesn't that title just make you laugh?  I knew exactly what that was for me.  Paper.  Specifically from MME (My Mind's Eye).  I am pretty sure I never actually went in a store looking for more of their paper when it somehow came home with me.  I have tried to stay out of the craft store since the last time I brought 4 new stacks home.  They were so lovely and I couldn't make a choice.  Honest!

So, here's my card:
As I said, I have a thing for paper from MME.  I love all of it!  So, I decided to use plenty on this card. The sentiment was actually on one of the sheets.  How handy is that?  I fussy cut around the label shape.  I mounted the label on some foam from my stash of children's craft supplies since my children have outgrown most of my supplies.  The very, very, VERY fun Lauren shared that idea a while back and I thought it was pure genius!  I still have tons of that stuff and didn't know what to do with it.  Now I am putting it to good use popping up different elements of my cards!  I used some brads from my stash that look like screws...great for a masculine card.  The mesh behind from the sentiment came from my LCS.  I'm not sure what its called but it's wired and is perfect when I want to add an embellishment to a "guy" card.  That "guy" would be my oldest son who turns 14 next month.....good thing he doesn't follow my blog, huh??
Here's the inside.  As you know I like to repeat the sketch from the front for the writing panel.  I didn't have a die that exactly matched the label from the front but this one is pretty close.

I'm not always a fan of my shots like this but this one looks pretty good.

Now it's your turn.  Dig into your stash and use some of those supplies that are piling up!  Then link up at our challenge blog and let us see what you create!  Oh, and go see what all my lovely teammates made for you.  You won't be disappointed!  psst go check out Jessi's card!  So fun!!!

I think that's about it.  Thanks for taking a peek!

Blessings & Hugs,

Michelle

Shopping Our Stash #110

Hello friends!!  It's Tuesday and you know that means another challenge at Shopping Our Stash.  We have a fun challenge for you this week!  Have you ever bought something "amazing" for you card making only to get it home and wonder "why did I buy this"?  And then it sits in your stash forever.  Come on!  We've all done it!  Fess up!  Well, we want to see those items on your card today.  You loved them at one time (even if it was only for 2 minutes at the store) so they deserve a place on your card right??  lol  You can do it!!  I have faith in you!
So here's my card.  I used a lot of stash this time.  My "what was I thinking" item are the flip flop and bikini "buttons".  They aren't actually buttons, there's no way to sew them on, but I'm not sure what else to call them.  Several years ago I purchased several packages of these things in all different themes.  I neatly organized them in a small plastic bin, tucked them in the drawer and left them there to age.  I think they are well aged!  The papers were all scraps from my stash.  Even the white embossed piece was already embossed!  The green ribbon is really old but the twine is fairly new but from a friend's stash!  The stamp is from PTI and I have never used it.
The inside is very plain for me although I added another "button", this time a beach ball.
Here's another shot.  A fun card, but not my usual style.  I was going through my cards yesterday, looking for one for my niece and realized I make some pretty great cards sometimes....I need to make more.  It's good therapy, right?

Anyway, it's your turn now.  Dig into your stash (dig deep if you have to) and join us for this fun challenge this week!

I think that's about it.  Thanks for taking a peek!

Blessings & Hugs,

Michelle

Shopping Our Stash #109

Good morning friends and welcome!  I have another card for our fun challenge over at Shopping Our Stash.  This week we want to see your summer themed card or a card using summer colors.  It has been very hot here so I had all the inspiration I needed!

First off, I used this adorable image from Tiddly Inks.  She is called Wryn Hanging Out.  I love all these images.  I think they are so fun!  I colored her with my Prismacolor pencils.
I used the sketch from Sketch & Stash.  The papers are from MME.  The flowers, brads, pearl cotton and pearls are from my stash.  I inked all the layers and sewed some of them.
On the inside I used the same sketch for the writing panel and showed off another great paper on the other side.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Sketch & Stash - Sketch

Now it's time for you to dig into your stash and make something summery and fun to join us in our challenge this week!

I think that's about it.  Thanks for taking a peek!

Shopping Our Stash #108

Hello friends!  It's time for another great challenge at Shopping Our Stash!  This week we want to see your Red, White and Blue creations or something created with your country's flag colors.  I'm sure where ever you are from your are patriotic and love to use your country's colors, I know I do.

My card is another simple one.  No colored images lately, although I am starting to miss coloring.  Maybe I will break out my pencils in the not so distant future!
I dug into my scrap box for the red, white and blue rectangles.  I embossed them with a star folder then inked them with TH Vintage Photo ink.  The red fiber I purchased last fall thinking I would use it on something Christmas-y and it never happened.  Same thing with those cute, glittery stars.  I added "Happy Birthday" since this card is for my aunt whose birthday is today!
The inside is a bit different for me.  I didn't do all 4 sides and I didn't follow the same sketch for the writing panel.  Shocker!  However, I haven't used this great scroll stamp in a long time and my fingers were itching to ink it up.
Here you can see just how glittery the stars are!  I really like them!

Now that you have seen what I have done it's your turn.  Dig deep (or not so deep) into your stash and join us for this fun challenge this week!

I think that's about it.  Thanks for taking a peek!

Blessings & Hugs,

Michelle
